Our Annual Appeal Campaign provides funds to support our research-based programs that focus on body image, health and nutrition, literacy, STEM, economic and media literacy. When you give, the lives of girls like Everlena are directly impacted. Upon her arrival she lacked confidence in reading and did not communicate much with others due to her speech impediment. This lovely quiet girl of very few words, kept to herself when she first came to Girls Inc. last year but in a short time, through one-on-one support and tutoring in our Literacy program, Everlena began recognizing her sight words, showing overall improvement in school, and interacting with her peers. Because of you, she is spreading her wings beautifully!
